We are building a dedicated AI Function to deliver intelligent capabilities across our product portfolio. This is a team focused on production-grade AI engineering — building real features into real products used by real customers.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity within our AI Function for an AI Engineer to bring intelligent capabilities into our established enterprise products. Working closely with the platform AI Engineer and the Engineering and Architecture teams, you will leverage shared AI infrastructure to build AI-powered features, reinforcing reuse and consistency across products.

This role has a clear and structured roadmap. You will be embedded with the teams behind ActiveControl and ActiveDiscover — working closely with established product engineers to design and ship AI capabilities into products that already have strong customer bases.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

• Build new AI-powered features and analysers for our enterprise products, reusing shared AI infrastructure

• Build MCP servers to expose product data and functionality to AI capabilities

• Develop predictive and analytical models to surface risks, improve workflows, and support decision-making

• Build evaluation and quality processes for all AI features, aligned with the centralised evaluation framework

• Implement AI integration patterns in close collaboration with Engineering and Architecture teams

IS THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU?

Essential experience and skills:

• Hands-on experience in AI engineering, building AI/ML features into production systems

• Experience designing AI integration patterns for enterprise software

• Strong software engineering fundamentals: Python, TypeScript or JavaScript, REST API design, MLOps

• Experience with anomaly detection or predictive analytics on structured operational data

• Experience building APIs and integration layers, MCP servers, tool-calling patterns, or similar service interfaces

Desirable skills:

• Familiarity with graph-based dependency analysis or impact analysis techniques

• Background in building AI features that support compliance and governance workflows

• Familiarity with SAP BTP ecosystem
