The Role:

SAP Basis & Infrastructure Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

As a SAP Basis & Infrastructure Administrator for Basis Technologies, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the ongoing operation of our multiple internal SAP systems used for developing and testing our solutions. The primary role will be a SAP Basis skillset with additional responsibilities to support our wider IT estate.

The role reports into the Infrastructure Leader and would be based in Germany.

• The role will be part of the Development, QA & Support team providing on going technical support for the SAP business solutions to ensure that current and future business requirements are met
• Implement the defined Environment Strategy for the SAP environments of Basis Technologies
• Execute maintenance and patching of SAP systems / landscapes from operating system upgrades to database & SAP upgrades
• Optimize the usage of the AWS environment to minimize costs for systems which are not required 24x7.
• Maintain and keep updated SAP Solution Manager (w/ Focused Build) for team exploratory purposes
• Full SAP Basis skillset of operating system, database and SAP application management
• Provide management, remediation and governance around IT Controls which impact the SAP environments
• Support the SAP estate for Disaster Recovery documentation and planning and ensure effective testing is carried out
• SAP OSS Developer key and license management
• Internet access infrastructure – ie VPN management, core office firewall and internet accessibility/access control management
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support to the users of I.T applications
• Service Requests, Incident, and Application Change Requests. These will be managed according to the service levels agreed for the applications in question
• Support the product release process and add-on SAP certification process for Basis Technologies solutions
• Works with Development & Support teams to maintain appropriate application role-based security profiles
• Oversee deployment of application package patches and upgrades, working with Development & QA teams to apply changes as necessary.
• Participate in continuous service improvement, knowledge management and other processes focused upon improving overall service performance

• Maintain and manage CMDB in understanding intent and usage of all SAP systems
• Security analysis, policy application and security monitoring on relevant systems handled within the group
• Provide support to the IT Systems Administrator tasks related to IT processes for long term & day to day processes such as on and off boarding users, ongoing IT management of Google and Microsoft estate
• To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
  
  

What we’re looking for:

The following technical skills and attributes are also required:

• Strong experience in managing IaaS on AWS including OS (Linux/Windows), DB (HANA and MaxDB)
• Deep proficiency in SAP BASIS development (min. 5 years) in installing, managing, upgrading, tuning SAP systems (including Solution Manager, Fiori, ECC, S/4, ..)
• Knowledge of networking (e.g. DNS/DHCP – ideally AWS VPC knowledge)
• Must have solid SAP platform knowledge
• Experience in various Backup/Restore procedures, primarily SAP related and ideally AWS related processes
• Working knowledge on both SAP ABAP and Java Stack
• Understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform
• Change management, SAP transports and source code control
• Knowledge of Fiori architecture, installation and upgrades

Other desirable skills include:

• Knowledge of Office 365, Teams, G Suite – including G-Drive, Sharepoint, Teams office document stores
